 Pool Monitors/Pool Patrol

Fortunately, living in Southern California, we have the advantage of warm weather, especially during the summer months. Unfortunately, this can cause over-crowding of your community association's pools A proactive approach to controlling pool activity can preclude problems, reduce liability, and ensure a quality experience for all pool users.

Commonly requested duties for both our Pool Monitor and Pool Patrol services include:

  • Check identification of all pool users
  • Log activity at the pool
  • Enforce all pool rules and regulations
  • Escort violators from the pool
  • Check the pool area for health and safety violations
  • Report any liability producing situations to management
  • Call 911 when an emergency arises
  • Execute facility lock-ups and unlocks as directed by the Property Manager
*Note: Our officers are NOT necessarily CPR certified, nor are they lifeguards. However, in cases of emergency, they will attempt to render reasonable assistance to the subject in question while awaiting the arrival of professional services.

Below, are some details regarding the differences between our Pool Monitor and Pool Patrol services:
Pool Monitors
Patrol One's Pool Monitor service consists of placing a uniformed officer on-site at your association for a pre-determined shift length. Pool Monitors generally wear navy blue shorts and a grey polo shirt with a Patrol One logo.

Shifts: Due to the extremely tight labor market, our shifts are not less than eight hours long and we do not contract for less than 32 hours per week. Short shifts are difficult to fill with quality personnel and turn-over is high when hours are low.

Shifts, which are not whole number multiples of eight hours, are billed at time-and-a-half for anything over eight hours. For example: a ten hour shift would be billed at eight hours straight time and two hours overtime.

Billing: We bill weekly for Pool Monitor services. Please email our Sales Director, at sales@patrol-one.com, or call, at 714.541.0999 for current pricing.
Pool Patrol
Pool Patrol officers are tasked with periodic inspections of the pool area. We offer our clients the flexibility to choose the number of inspections, and approximate times of the inspections. A typical schedule might be: one inspection per hour, conducted randomly, between 3:00pm and midnight.

Inspections may be scheduled at any time, day or night. Typically, the patrol officer will be on-site for roughly 10-15 minutes for each inspection.

Patrol officers wear "police-style" uniforms, consisting of a slate grey shirt with Patrol One patches and badge, and navy blue or black pants.

Billing: We bill every 28 days (four weeks) for Pool Patrol services. Please email our Sales Director, at sales@patrol-one.com, or call, at 714.541.0999 for current pricing.
