That's right. We at PATROL ONE feel there is a time, a place, and a workman for every tool known to man. We believe that now is not the time, Orange County is not the place, and our officers are not the workmen to be using guns.

Yes, there are security jobs for which a gun is appropriate. We don't do those types of jobs. Our officers are authorized to carry, and when necessary, use weapons of self-defense, such as chemical mace, pepper spray, and batons. But, they are only authorized when the officer has the proper and current license for those weapons. Fortunately, in over 25 years of business, we have almost never been in a situation where use of these self-defense devices has been necessary.

Our policy, when coming upon a situation which has the potential to require a gun, is to immediately involve local law enforcement, then, to observe and report carefully every event up to and after the arrival of the police. Only in extreme cases when a life is in jeopardy, will our officers be authorized to use force.
